2014 Hyundai Santa Fe Review
Hyundai Santa Fe is a famous SUV produced by Korean Automaker. It is popular for many reasons.
2014 Hyundai Santa Fe is offered in the principle 3-row configuration or as the two-row sport. Smaller families will look towards turbo-charged Santa Fe Sport while larger families will look at the V-6 Santa Fe.
These two models of Hyundai compete with other big players like Toyota RAV4, Honda CRV, Ford Edge, Toyota Venza, Toyota Highlander and Honda Pilot. The larger Santa Fe is 8.5 inches longer than the sports version.
The larger Santa Fe is equipped with a 290-hp 3.3 liter V6. The 4-cylinder engine choices are available in the Santa Fe Sport: a 190 horsepower 2.4-liter turbo, and a turbo-charged 264-hp 2.0-liter. All these engines benefit from high-pressure gasoline injection. These engines drive through 6-speed automatic transmissions.
Interior:
It offers a modern and stylish interior. Its cabin is warm, modern and inviting.
It is great that all the buttons and controls are easy to reach. The three-spoke steering-wheels has large, well-marked audio and cruise controls on its horizontal spokes. On the dashboard to the left of the wheels are controls for its instrument lighting, Active Eco Mode, AWD center differential lock, heated steering wheel and Hill Start Assist.
Front seats of both the models are comfortable. There is sufficient space in the second row. 3 row is best-suited to children like most 3-row SUVs. Cargo space is good for 2-row SUVs but it does not offer as much cargo capacity as its 3-row rivals.
With a handsome interior styling, this SUV comes with many goodies in the base model as compared to the 2014 Ford Edge that is priced similarly. It means standard features like a rearview camera, Bluetooth, a 4.3-inch touchscreen and a USB port. However, Hyundai Santa Fe Sport misses some.
Safety:
Hyundai Santa Fe is appreciated for its safety. It earned a top rating in almost every category. However, exceptions were for the small overlap test and the rollover test.
2014 version comes with a rearview camera. ( It is standard in the 3-row version and available in the 2-row sport). Other technology features include rear parking sensors and blind spot monitoring.
2014 Hyundai Santa Fe Reliability:
Hyundai is famous for producing reliable vehicles. 2014 Hyundai is said to be more reliable than the most used midsize crossover SUVs from the 2014 model year.
