Toyota RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid Set for LA show Debut

Toyota will display a plug-in hybrid version of its RAV4 SUV at the upcoming Los Angeles Motor Show. It is the third variant in the lineup after 2020 RAV4 and RAV4 hybrid models.

The announcement by Toyota teases a yet greener and potentially meaner model to come, with Toyota claiming the 2020 RAV4 Plug-in “will become the most powerful RAV4 yet.”

Following the footsteps of the Prius Plug-in/Prius Prime, the RAV4 will be the second PHEV model in the brand’s history. More details are expected when it finally shows off at LA Auto Show.
