Yen Stable as Producer Prices Hold Steady

Japan yen strengthened despite an unexpectedly weaker result for a popular proxy of capital spending. It remained strong on Monday after wholesale inflation remained steady.

Data showed Japan’s PPI (Producer Price Index) was flat month on month in May. It is weaker than 0.1 percent rise expected by economists and slower from 0.2 percent growth in April.
