Honda Fit 2012 Review

Honda Fit is a roomy and practical car. It is one of the most enjoyable cars in the subcompact category. There were only slight changes for 2012 Honda Fit. However, it was unchanged from the 2011 model.

It feels more than a compact.

2012 Honda Fit provides plenty of features in a small car that some may not expect from a small car. Both of Honda Fit and Fit sports models are equipped with plenty of generous features.  

Performance

It offers an impressive performance. It offers 117 horsepower with its 1.5-liter i-VTEC four-cylinder engine in a 2012 Honda Fit. It is a quick ride, but not fast enough. Especially its five-speed manual gearbox makes it feel like responsive and lively.

Five speeds automatic comes with paddle shifters in Fit Sorts trims, though it brings some coarseness and engine noise.

Comfort and Quality

It is roomy car inside. It feels like a bigger car if you look from driver’s seat. Honda has sought inspiration from minivans and larger MVPS for its interior design. Its driving seat is upright but comfortable.

It comes with standard black seats that are wonderful to touch. It offers an excellent visibility in all directions, thanks to the expansive greenhouse and big mirrors.

You may notice that something is different about the interior packaging of Honda Fit. It makes most out of a small space for both passengers and cargo.  

It is one of the most comfortable cars in its class, although you may not like to call it luxurious. Its look and feel of its cabin appointments are quite good for the money you pay for it.

It offers a cargo floor that is especially low for easy loading.

In addition, it offers plenty of cup holders as updated in 2012 and there are many useful cubbies and compartments.

Safety                                       

Honda Fit has a good set of safety features and with good scores in small cars segment.

It has earned good safety rating from the IIHS and earned a reward for top safety pick. It offers a strong body structure with a comprehensive list of safety features that include front-seat side airbags, full-length side curtain bags, anti-lock brakes and electron stability control.  

Features

Fit offers a generous list of features.

Its base Fit offers include an MP3-compatible CD sounds system, locks, mirrors, power windows and air conditioning. There are some features that are now standard on all Fit models that include cruise control, a USB sound-system input, and keyless entry.  

Fuel-Economy

The base Honda fit with five-speed automatic offers EPA estimates of 28 city / 35 highway.

Styling

When it comes to styling it can be seen that Honda Fit 2012 has focused more on function over form.

Like some other small cars, it has an airier than in some other small cars.  Its tall proportions make it a scaled-down minivan in some respects.
