Nissan Delays Launch of Long-Range Leaf amid Scandal

Nissan was apparently gearing up to set afloat the long-range Leaf with a 60 kWh battery pack at the LA Auto Show, but it has now delayed the unveiling amid the Carlos Ghosn scandal.

Nissan has planned for years a version of the Leaf with a 60 kWh battery pack to enable over 200 miles of range, that faced delays.

The unveiling of this version was expected with the next-generation Leaf last year, but the company said that it was instead coming later.

The company seems to fear that the recent scandal would overshadow the launch of the new version of the Leaf.
