Detroit Auto Show 2019: Some of the Biggest Hits
To avoid disappointment, you should not expect the glitzy four door sedans at the North American International Auto Show because that territory is dominated by SUVs and trucks.
Where sedans used to rule, now trucks and SUVs have taken over.
As the customers have shifted their attention to the utility vehicles, the automakers are rethinking about the usage of auto shows.
The show features a number of stars from the Ford Shelby to Toyota Supra. Here are some of the stunners that grabbed spotlight during the press show.
2020 Ford Shelby GT500
2020 Ford Shelby GT500 was a sure winner at the show. It is most powerful vehicle Ford has ever made. It comes with a supercharged 5.2-liter V8 engine and more than 700 horsepower. The new car swaggers with a new grille, a large vent in the hood and black 20-inch wheels. It also comes with front air dams that make the car look meaner.
2020 Lexus RC F Track Edition
The 2020 RC F Track Edition will deliver heavier performance than its current version of the RC F. It is lighter than its predecessor.
2020 Toyota Supra
Finally, the much awaited Toyota Supra was unveiled at the show. It is built with many components borrowed from BMW's tiny Z4.
2020 Cadillac XT6
It will be the second model in the lineup to have a third row of seats. It comes with ample luxury paraphernalia including fine-grain woods inside, premium leathers, captain's chairs, and an air ionizer
Nissan IMs Concept
Nissan’s IMS concept was one of the few sports sedans on display this year in Detroit. The design study seems to take long before heading for production. Still, it gives an indication of where the Nissan may take its electric sedan business in the not far off future.
