Hyundai Grabs “Oscars of the Automotive Industry” With Big Wins at Detroit

The Korean automaker took hold two of the major automotive industry awards at the Detroit show this year, and the recognition could be a boon to its brands looking to win over the customers away from more established rivals.

These are highly recognized awards in the automotive industry and are referred to as “Oscars of the automotive industry". The cars are rated on the basis of design, innovation, performance, safety, technology, driver satisfaction, and value. A panel of automotive journalists and analysts judges these awards.

Hyundai took home the North American 2019 Utility vehicle award for its Kona sports utility. Hyundai’s luxury brand Genesis grabbed 2019 car of the year award for its G70 sports sedan.
