4 Best EVs and Plug-Ins of the 2019 Geneva Motor Show
Europeans take their electric vehicles seriously. That makes sense to split the Geneva Motor Show into two major categories; electric vehicles and combustion engine vehicles.
Europe’s interest in fuel efficiency is due to many factors. The interests of Europeans in electric vehicles owes to the import of their petroleum products, high gasoline prices, emerging rules regarding the combustion engine vehicles and the concerns over air pollution and climate change. Here is an analysis of some of the best vehicles at the Geneva Motor Show.
- Honda Prototype E
Honda’s plug-in EV was a wonderful presentation on the show. The subcompact hatchback has been prepared by keeping safety in mind. A few changes might make it look like a Crossover/SUV instead of a hatchback.
- Volvo Polestar 2
Volvo’s racing subbrand is going electric. The brand showcased Polestar 2 vehicle to parallel Tesla model S in relation to its specs: dual motors, 78-kWh battery, 300kW power output, and 500 km target range. The infotainment system display has expanded to 11 inches and plays on Android.
- Audi EV SUV
Audi is planning a number of EVs for the future. The Audi Q4 e-Tron is a subcompact concept with a big battery with rear or front-rear motors. A 125-kW recharge rate recharges 224 miles in half an hour.
- Ashton Martin Lagonda
Ashton Martin will make the Lagonda the “world’s first zero emission luxury brand” with new models coming in 2022. One may well be the All-terrain concept a fully electric, luxury SUV. In the concept, the front seats pivot to face the passengers’ sitting on the back seats, and the rear doors are rear-hinged.
