Next-Generation Toyota GT86 and Subaru BRZ Confirmed

Toyota and Subaru have confirmed that their sports car project will return for a second generation, as the duo announces a mushrooming of their joint alliance.

Along with the replacement for the affordable sports coupes, further collaboration will take place on battery electric, hybrid and all-wheel drive systems across both the product portfolios.

Recently, both the Japanese automakers have deepened their ties with Toyota increasing its stakes in Subaru to 20 percent and Subaru has also acquired shares in Toyota to ‘further strengthen and develop’ the partnership.
