New Mitsubishi MI-TECH concept SUV coming to Tokyo

Mitsubishi will unveil a new, one-topped plugged-in hybrid SUV concept at this year’s Tokyo Motor Show, called the MI-TECH.

The Japanese automaker has only released a typical gloomy teaser image for now, but the new concept is likely to be a future technology display rather than a direct preview of an upcoming new model.

According to the design of the vehicle, it looks like the MI-TECH concept takes inspiration from traditional off-road SUVs and convertible sports in equal measure.

The concept is powered by a lightweight gas-turbine engine-generator and an all-electric four-wheel-drive system.
