Toyota and Lexus to Launch Electric Evs By 2021

Toyota and its luxury brand Lexus will offer three electric models within the next two years, the automaker has confirmed.

No more details were given on the models. But, a futuristic, electric Lexus concept will be revealed at next month's Tokyo Auto Show which will demonstrate the technology behind the upcoming EVs ahead of production.

Toyota pioneered hybrids, first launching the Prius in 1997, but has been slow to adopt plug-in hybrids and electric vehicles. However, it sells a plug-in variant of the Prius.
