USD / JPY describes latest risk reset, still below 108.00
The USD / JPY portrays a lack of momentum, despite recovery gains recorded on Monday, as the rounds totaled 107.85 in the middle of Tuesday's Asian session. While some positive news from Italy and Spain triggered a risk reset earlier, comments from U.S. policymakers seem to have recently favored the risks. After several deaths and several days of pessimism, the latest figures from Italy and Spain showed signs of disappearance from the previous increase. According to figures from Monday, Italy recorded the lowest number of cases of coronavirus (COVID-19), 4,050, since March 17, while Spain also marked a reduction in the number of deaths to 812 by compared to 838.
