Honda Extends Production Suspension and Staff Furlough for one week
Honda officials in North America announced Thursday that the company is extending its suspension of car production in North America for a week, and is also adding an additional week to a two-week period for U.S. commercial operations personnel USA. Officials said the adjustments were being made "due to the unprecedented economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, which continues to change" and the sharp drop in sales in the automotive and sports sectors. The suspension of production for cars, engines, and transmission plants in North America continues until May 8. Honda's suspension of North American car production began on March 23.
