Toyota has just Built its 4.5 Millionth Car in Great Britain

Toyota built its 4.5 millionth car in Britain, with the historic model as a 1.8-liter Corolla that left the production line at its Derbyshire factory. Production resumed at the factory on May 26 after shutdowns related to COVID-19, with Toyota implementing revised health and safety procedures at its sites. The Burnaston plant, southwest of Derby, produce one car every 89 seconds, which equates to an average of 3,000 cars per week and 150,000 cars per year. Toyota claims that around 90% of the cars produced there are exported to foreign markets, especially Europe, with the historic Corolla as the left-hand drive model for Poland.
