GM does not yet have a True Prototype Hummer EV

The all-electric Hummer EV will compete with battery-powered trucks like the Rivian R1T and Tesla's Cybertruck, among other planned offerings in the new electric truck segment. The automaker also announced that the first Hummer EV to go on sale will be the GMC "Edition 1" variant, which has a price of $ 112,595. The Hummer EV Edition 1 will be powered by an all-electric three-engined motor powered by GM's Ultrium battery pack. The Hummer EV battery pack will contain 24 units, each containing 24 cells of Ultium bags. GM claims that the Hummer EV's Ultrium powered transmission will produce more than 1,000 hp and 11,500 lb-ft of torque, allowing the truck to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 3 seconds. The EV3 will start at $ 99,995 and be replaced by the Hummer EV2X, which will be launched in Spring 2023 with prices starting at $ 89,995.
