Tesla Cuts Model 3 Production for Two Weeks at its California Plant

 

The global chip shortage that hit the auto industry this year appears to have hit electric car maker Tesla Inc., the world's most valuable auto company. Tesla plans to cut production of the Model 3 sedan by two weeks. The production cut was due to slowing demand for the Model 3, so Tesla faced two separate issues that led to its decision to cut production at its California plant.
