Polestar Is Single 636hp Electric Powertrain Equipped With Two Speed Gearbox

Polestar, the new EV brand, is making impressive strides in its ambitious EV plans. Polestar is developing patented technology that will include a powerful electric motor and a two-speed gearbox for its future electric vehicles. The platform will use a 103 kWh battery that can be charged to 80% in about 20 minutes. It will also gain V2X (vehicle to everything) capabilities. There is a strong possibility that the Polestar could combine the two P10 units to create an all-wheel-drive powertrain that could theoretically produce around 1272 horsepower. With this powerplant, the Polestar 5 electric car can compete with the world's fastest electric sedans, including the Tesla Model S Plaid and the Lucid Air sedan with over 1,000 horsepower.
