Honda Will Assemble Honda CR-V in India For The Competitive Price
Honda is now planning to assemble its sports utility Vehicle CR-V in India to keep the price competitive. Assembling in India, will benefits in terms of lower taxes and many other major factors.

The price of new vehicle will be lower than the outgoing CR-V that was available in the price of 22.91 Lakh to 25.15 Lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and was imported directly from Japan. Noida Plant will be used for the local assembly.
Honda CR-V used to be a segment leader but in recent years lost out to diesel-powered competition that include GM Captiva, Hyundai Santa Fe, Toyota Outlander, Renault Koleos and Toyota Fortuner in the brand of 18 to 25 lakhs price.
Toyota Fortuner runs on diesel which is 25% cheaper than petrol, it will be a tough task for the new CR-V to catch up this market leader priced 21.36 to 22.93 lakh in Delhi.
Analysts say that the fuel price does matter when buying a SUV. It does play a vital role in the success of a vehicle in marketplace. One of the consultant working with a multinational said that In the current scenario there is hardly a petrol oriented SUV that places at any decent ranking on the charts. All the successful SUVs like Fortuner, BMW X1 and the Audi SUV are the best SUVs currently available in the markets and all have diesel as the common median for sale traction.
