Toyota & BMW Are Working On New Battery Technology
Toyota and BMW are now getting together to work on new battery technologies for the green Vehicles that are called “Lithium Air”. It was first announced back in the year 2011. It moves ahead in fuel cells, sports vehicles and in other fields too.
Both automakers said that the partnership will not be involving a capital alliance during spanning a wide range of technologies for green vehicles. The German and the Japanese giant automaker are aiming to complete the system of fuel cell vehicle by 2020 and also they aim to build a mid size sports vehicle.
Both are also working on to develop light weight technologies like composites that will help making a car greener.
They said that a joint research will be started to develop a lithium-air battery technology that will be more powerful than the current lithium-ion batteries used in electric vehicles. This is the technology, some other automaker are also working on will make a major part of energy making process accessed from the oxygen from air.
