Toyota to Assist Search for Advanced Materials

Toyota is to invest in material science project in order to boost research related to advancement of electric and fuel cell technology.

Toyota is working with universities, research entities and some companies to promote research in the fields of fuel technology for the future vehicles. It is for the development of advanced materials to help make batteries and fuel cells for the future zero-emission and carbon-free vehicles more efficient.

It is no doubt that fossil fuels are not going to last longer. Demand of electric and fuel cells has increased. But due to their limitations, these require some advancement. New materials have become a necessity for the advancement of battery and fuel cell technology. These advancements will make these vehicles as viable alternative to diesel and petrol-powered models.

New research will also make use of machine learning and artificial intelligence.
