Four Automakers to pay $553 Million to Settle Takata Lawsuit
Volkswagen and Toyota have agreed to pay $553 million to settle a lawsuit over the defective airbags. It is claimed to have taken eleven lives in US alone.
Lawsuit claims that automakers were aware about the issue the used it anyway.
In Thursday’s agreement four automakers including Toyota, BMW, SUBARU and Mazda will pay $278.5 million, $131 million, $68.3 million and $75.8 million respectively.
