US Dollar Slips against the Yen over a Suspected Cronyism Scandal

US dollar eased against the yen on Monday due to the worries of traders over a suspected Cronyism scandal. It involves the sale of state-owned land.

According to sources, the name of the premier's wife was removed from the documents regarding the scandal as pressure mounted on the Prime minister and his ally Finance Minister Taro Aso over a possible cover-up.

The dollar eased to 106.62 yen, edging away from a one-week high of 107.05 yen set on Friday.
