Mazda to Develop Lithium-Ion Batteries to Replace Lead-Acid Starter Batteries
Many car companies are looking to take advantage in the quest for ever better fuel economy. Like many others, Mazda is working to develop Lithium-Ion batteries to replace lead-acid starter batteries.
The Japanese automaker announced that it is partnering with ELIIY Power Ube Industries to develop a lithium-ion starter battery. It will replace conventional lead-acid units in the mainstream models.
