Dollar Edges Higher On Escalating Global Trade Tensions

The US dollar was solid on Monday against a basket of currencies as the US-China trade war seems to continue and after the United States and Canada ended contentious trade negotiations without a deal.

US president Donald Trump said on Saturday there was no need to keep Canada in the NAFTA and warned Congress not to meddle with the trade talks or he would terminate the trilateral trade pact altogether.
