2019 Mazda 3 Recalled Because the Wheels Could Fall Off While Driving

You can face a troubling situation soon after you forget to secure even a single lug nut holding a wheel to the car. After some driving, you may realize that something has gone wrong. However, it surprises many peoples if the problem seems to come out of nowhere.

Mazda has issued a recall for 25,003 Mazda 3s in both hatchback and sedan form. The recall affects cars manufactured between September 25, 2018, and May 3, 2019.

The problem is manufacturing that comes from the wheel lug nuts, which are responsible for securing the car’s wheels to the car itself. A manufacturing error created a partial gap between the hub bolts and the hub flange. Because of the gap, the lug nuts can come loose and fall off during normal driving. If that happens and any action is not taken, the wheel may fall off, leading to a loss of control.
